Inverted white on black Kufiya made in Palestine. Abu Mohammad Hirbawi was searching for an old photo in a negative strip (before digital photography). He discovered a negative photo of a traditional black and white Kufiya. He immediately sat down at his machine and designed an inverted Palestinian Kufiya. This is the result.
Made in one of the last two kufiya (or keffiyeh) factories in Palestine. Today they struggle to compete with cheap imported Kufiya from China, though the quality of the original, handmade in Palestine kufiyas is far superior. By trading the Hirbawi Kufiyas, our aim is to reverse the current trend and revive the local traditional production of the Palestinian scarves.
